Artists

They were founded in the early 90s. Neil Sheasby (bass) and Neil Jones (vocals), who were in other bands, met while sharing a stage. Days later, they got together to write, creating something of their own with different styles and sounds.

In their early phase they recorded: 'Happiness Was Here' (2003), 'In Our Time' (2005), 'Small Town Soul' (2008) and 'Away From The Grain' (2010). In 2015 they produced 'A Life Unlimited'. Their success caught Paul Weller's attention, who produced and played on the album 'Street Rituals' (2017), described as 'soul album of the year' by Blues & Soul magazine.

Since 2018 they have recorded 'Everybody, Anyone' (2018), 'Is Love Enough' (2020) and 'Outside Looking In' (2022). The band has toured the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan and the Czech Republic, among others.

Among the artists they have collaborated with are Paul Weller, Kathryn Williams, Durand Jones, Peter Capaldi, Mick Talbot, William Bell, Bettye LaVette and Andy Fairweather Low, along with remixes by Dennis Bovell, Leo Zero and Opolopo.

Considered by critics to be the most direct rivals of Dr. Feelgood, the band has gone through lineup changes while keeping their two frontmen: DENNIS GREAVES on guitar and vocals (who also led the legendary band THE TRUTH) and MARK FELTHAM on harmonica and vocals, who accompanied the great RORY GALLAGHER for 11 years and also has an impressive list of recording collaborations with Roger Daltrey (The Who), Oasis, The Alarm, New Model Army, Manfred Mann, Nazareth...

Alongside the leaders and founding members are ANTHONY HARTY on bass (The Style Council, The Truth, Specials, The Beat, Badfinger, Steve Marriott, Primitives...) and SONNY GREAVES on drums.

The band has been touring their superb latest album '13 Shades of Blue' along with their great classics. On top of that, their legendary 'Live At The Marquee' from 1980 has just been reissued in Spain by FOLC RECORDS, celebrating its 45th anniversary, and will be available on this tour.

To mention Los Fulanos is to mention Boogaloo, the hybrid genre born in Spanish Harlem in the early 1960s, revered in the Acid Jazz and Northern Soul circuits and championed by DJs such as Gilles Peterson or Masters at Work. With nothing more than love for the genre as their argument, Los Fulanos regenerated the Barcelona Latin Soul scene —following the tradition of bands like Dr. Calypso— with incendiary live shows paying tribute to figures like Ray Barretto, Joe Bataan or Pete Rodríguez.

Their sonic dynamite spread quickly across the country and led them to collaborate with Vampi Soul records, where they recorded a series of singles and EPs (Arqueología EP 2006, Kiss 2007, Use It 2008). On them they returned gems such as Bobby Valentín's 'Use It Before You Lose It', Ray Barretto's 'Soul Drummer' or Héctor Rivera's 'Chance for Romance' to their natural habitat: dancefloors all over the planet.

Their recognition as true renovators of Latin Soul led them to record an album with one of the genre's capital figures, Joe Bataan. Together they recorded 'King of Latin Soul' (Vampi Soul, 2009) and were his official band on a successful European tour.

After years celebrating the golden age of Boogaloo, Los Fulanos took a further step with their first album of original material, 'Si Esto Se Acaba Que Sea El Boogaloo' (Lovemonk, 2012), where they explored their Afro-Latin roots and expanded their sonic palette towards Salsa, Soul and Bolero. Their powerful live show took them to festivals like Vic Fezensac (France), IlosaariRock (Finland), Actual (Logroño), Cultura Inquieta (Getafe), Pirineos Sur, Periferias (Huesca), Slap Festival (Zaragoza) or Barcelona's BAM. That energy was captured on their live album 'Live in Jamboree', which marked the close of a chapter.

True to their essence, the band presents a non-stop repertoire where the 100% Fulano flavour of their original compositions is intertwined with the immortal anthems of Barretto, Rodríguez and Bataan. It's now a fact! 2025 marked the big Los Fulanos reunion and they are back in full force. Are you ready for more?

Their repertoire combines carefully selected covers of the great blues classics with their own compositions that preserve the spirit, strength and authenticity of that era. Far from simply reproducing the past, Lazy Tones brings a personality of their own, keeping the language of the blues alive with original songs that could have been played in a South Side Chicago club in the 1950s.

With musicians of wide experience on stages and festivals across the country, the band delivers an intense, elegant live show full of improvisation. Characterful guitars, harmonica, a solid rhythm section and a close stage presence turn every concert into a journey to the golden age of the blues, where tradition and creativity walk hand in hand.

Because the blues doesn't belong to the past. It stays alive every time it is played with honesty.

Haylen has a powerful and charismatic voice, a true rocker in high heels with magnetic stage presence. Singer, guitarist and songwriter, she embodies a free and modern femininity, nourished by vintage influences and a deep thirst for life. Her universe masterfully blends Soul, Blues and Rock'n'Roll, with an authentic aesthetic, committed modernity and a sincere love for the stage.

After touring France and Europe with her debut EP 'OUT OF LINE', Haylen joined the cast of Jean Paul Gaultier's 'FASHION FREAK SHOW' for a world tour and became the headline artist of the famous cabaret 'CRAZY HORSE'. Between 2023 and 2024 she does two nationwide Zénith tours opening for Dire Straits Experience, opens shows at the Olympia for Chris Isaak and Post Modern Jukebox (twice), takes part in Harley Davidson's 120th anniversary, and also opens for Robert Cray at La Cigale and Asaf Avidan at Mogador. In April, she opens for one of her idols, Imelda May, at La Traverse de Cléon.

Thanks to these experiences, she has established herself as an essential artist in recent years. She has recently released 'Blue Wine', a 13-track album, two of them in French and one composed by Darrel Higham (Imelda May's guitarist and songwriter). In it we find the very essence of her style: a blend between the elegance of the 50s and 60s and a very current emotional urgency. The album has been acclaimed by critics, particularly Rolling Stone Magazine, which dedicated a double-page feature to her in its February 2023 issue.

In 2023 she wins two awards, including the Grand Jury Prize at the Cahors Blues Festival. In 2025 she performs on the main stage, in front of a record attendance in the festival's history. Haylen is supported by Gibson France and is an ambassador for the American brand Klipsch.

In 2025 she presents and defends her songs at various festivals and clubs across Europe. In April she embarks on the Havila Blues Cruise through the Norwegian fjords. There she shares the stage with well-known Norwegian artists, and her concerts receive praise from the local press. She headlines the Wine Festival in Portugal on Saturday night with her original French band, which features guitarist Phil Almosnino (Johnny Hallyday, Les Wampas...).

She also performs at the Megève Blues Festival with her friend Johnny Gallagher, where they play two songs including a version of 'Tennessee Whiskey', whose video has reached thousands of views on YouTube. She tours several times through blues clubs and festivals across Spain, in front of a constantly growing audience.

In July 2025 comes her greatest consecration: she fulfils one of her biggest dreams, playing on the legendary stage of Ronnie Scott's in London, with her friend Aisha Khan, on a fully sold-out date.

Over the years I have taken part in leading festivals and gatherings of the European mod and Rhythm & Blues scene, such as Clean Cut, The Beat Goes On, León Mod Weekender, 123 R&B (UK), Paris Mod Weekend and Afterglow (Belfast), sharing the booth with some of the best DJs on the international circuit. Beyond these festivals, I regularly play in audiophile restaurants and private events in my region, sharing a passion that has been with me for more than three decades: discovering and making audiences dance to authentic, elegant and timeless music. It is a true pleasure to have been invited as a DJ for this new edition of the Midnight Boogie Weekend. I hope you enjoy my selection as much as I will enjoy sharing it with you.

My sets are made up of soul (60s-early70s) and rhythm & blues, and I always include some refreshing Latin. I've had the chance to play at events such as Mod Generation Club, Mojo Workin', Beat Goes On, Euro Ye-Yé, All Saints Mod Holiday Lavarone, Clean Cut and Ebroclub.
